The Registrar of Voters is appointed by the Police Jury, and the Registrar's Office is located in the courthouse. The Registrar's Office is responsible for a wide variety of voting services ranging from registering new voters, changing addresses and maintaining accurate records on all voters to verify formal petitions of government, as well as census, mapping and other functions. The Registrar's Office also assisted the 911 Committee with their re-addressing and computer assisted mapping needs.
